To commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's Sapphire Jubilee, the Royal Mint has issued a new gold proof five pounds piece £5.
The reverse design by Glyn Davies marks the Queen's 65th anniversary on the throne.

Queen Elizabeth II's fifth portrait by Jody Clark can be seen on the obverse of the new £5.
The coin is made of solid 22 carat gold, and weighs 39.94 grams.
The gold proof £5 piece would originally have been delivered in a wooden presentation case, with a certificate of authenticity (COA).

Only 650 pieces were produced by the Royal Mint, selling out in record time!
