2007 Gold Proof Crown Five Pounds - Diamond Wedding

The 2007 gold proof crown was issued to commemorate the Diamond Wedding Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

The reverse was designed by Emma Noble and depicts the Rose Window of Westminster Abbey with the inscription 'TVEATVR VNITA DEVS'.

The obverse features a conjoint portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.

The coin is made of solid 22 carat gold (Gold fineness of 0.916), and is housed in its original Royal Mint acrylic screw top capsule.

The coinwould have been originally presented in its Royal Mint purple velvet presentation case and outer purple card box, accompanied with an individually numbered certificate of authenticity (COA).

The gold crown has a weight of 39.94 grams.

Only 2,380 gold proof crowns were issued by the Royal Mint in 2007.
