Description
The rock band Queen feature on the first of the ‘Rock star’ issue. A design by Chris Facey depicts a number of muscial instruments, with the bank name at the centre. Jody Clarks fifth head portrayal of Queen Elizabeth can be seen on the obverse of the coin. The £2 piece is made of pure silver (0.999 fine) and weighs 62.2 grams. The coin comes in its original presentation box, complete with outer card sleeve and certificate of authenticity. Only 500 pieces were issued by the Royal Mint. The coin sold out within a few hours! The Royal Mint has issued a range of coins with the design, including a gold proof one kilo coin, gold proof two ounce, gold proof one ounce, gold proof quarter ounce, silver proof one ounce and a number of cupro nickel coin packs.Summary
