Description
The 1966 Rhodesia gold ten shillings is made of 22 carat gold, and weighs 3.99 grams. It is identical in size, weight and purity to a British gold half sovereign.
Arnold Machin portrait of Queen Elizabeth II can be seen on the obverse of the coin.
Only 5,000 pieces were produced by the South African Mint on behalf of the Rhodesian government to commemorate the anniversary of independence.
The coin comes in its original SA Mint presentation case.
