2018 Gold Sovereign Proof

A special mint mark is added to the reverse of the 2018 Gold Sovereign Proof. Benedetto Pistrucci's famous portrayal of St. George slaying the dragon is also depicted.

Queen Elizabeth II's fifth portrait can be seen on the obverse, designed by Jody Clark

The sovereign is made of solid 22 carat gold (Gold Fineness of 0.916), and weighs 7.98 grams. It has a diameter of 22.05mm.



The coin was originally housed in a Royal Mint acrylic screw top capsule, presented in its Royal Mint black velvet case, with outer black card box, accompanied with an individually numbered certificate of authenticity.

The limited edition pack was limited to 10,500 items.
