The Last Round Pound - 2016 One Pound Coin. Three versions of the one pound coins were minted in 2016 but none were for circulation. The standard round pound only appeared in BU sets, the 'last round pound' was minted for commemoration sets only and the new 12-sided pound (dated 2016) didn't become legal tender until 2017.
The reverse shows Four heraldic beasts representing the United Kingdom. The design is by Gregory Cameron, Bishop of St Asaph.
The Obverse is the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
The edge inscription is DECUS ET TUTAMEN which means 'An ornament and a safeguard'.
