The 2008 Silver Britannia Proof (£2) shows Britannia standing with a trident in her right hand and a shield on her right. Britannia's dress artistically transforms into a wave.

The reverse was designed by John Bergdahl.

The obverse is the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.
