Where is Hatton Garden?
Hatton Garden is a famous street and district in central London, known for the large concentrated number of jewellery shops and jewellery related businesses. There is an estimated 300 businesses based in the small area.
The 'Garden', as it is known amongst the jewellery trade, has an interesting history, with a questionable reputation. Many will remember the famous Hatton Garden robbery, where safety deposit boxes were stolen over the course of a few days.
Who to trust?
With so many gold dealers in Hatton Garden, it is difficult to know which gold buyer to trust. Personally, I find businesses that do not display, or withold the price per gram they pay are hiding this for a reason. They do not want to make you aware of their margin, and compare prices with others. We have come across many jewellers who say they have to inspect items before quoting. Again, this is another tactic to avoid you comparing prices, and make you believe they are buying your item as a 'special' piece.

Hatton Garden Metals
HGM is one of the more recognisable gold buyers based in Hatton Garden. They have been established for quite a few years, and accumulated several hundred positive reviews. They have a good repuation for identifying peoples gold jewellery correctly. However, let's examine the prices they pay, and compare with our own.
