2022 5 Coin Gold Proof Sovereign Set

The 2022 5 coin gold proof sovereign set contains a gold proof five pounds (£5), two pounds (£2), sovereign, half sovereign and quarter sovereign. The 2022 sovereign series features a new reverse design to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee. A Royal Coat of Arms was created by Timothy Noad, the artist behind the 2005 gold proof sovereign depiction of St George and the Dragon. Queen Elizabeth II's fifth portrait can be seen on the obverse of the coins, designed by Jody Clark. The reverse design of the sovereign has only been changed a handful of times by the Mint - 1989, 2002, 2005, 2012 and 2017. All of these dates are extremely sought after by collectors. The 2022 5 coin gold proof sovereign set comes in its original Royal Mint presentation case with a certificate of authenticity. Only 750 sets have been issued by the Royal Mint.
