Description
The set contains a 2017 gold proof five pounds, two pounds, sovereign, half sovereign and quarter sovereign. All of the coins have been slabbed and graded by NGC as PR70. The 2017 5 coin gold proof sovereign set features Benedetto Pistrucci's original portrayal of St George on the reverse of the coins, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the sovereign. The Queens fifth portrait can be seen on the obverses of the coins (Designed by Jody Clark). Each coin is made of 22 carat gold. The 2017 5 coin gold proof sovereign set was originally issued with a box and certificate, and had a maximum mintage of 750.Summary
