The coin is made of sterling silver (0.925 fine). King Edward VII's portrait can be seen on the obverse of the coin, with Benedetto Pistrucci's famous portrayal of St George and the dragon depicted on the reverse.
1902 was the only year a crown was issued during the reign of Edward VII.
The coin still retains some of its original Mint lustre.
