Unlike many gold buyers, we have no limit to the amount of gold you can sell us. We are happy to buy as little as a gram to a few thousand grams! There are a number of ways you can sell to us:

We will buy anything that is silver! All hallmarked, foreign and craft silver is happily purchased.

If your items are of foreign origin, or bear no marks, we are able to provide a free testing service to determine the fineness of your silver.

Before visiting us, or posting your silver to us, it maybe best to see if your items bear any hallmarks similar to the ones shown:

Silver Hallmarks

These marks on silver show that the silver you have is British silver. However just because your item does not carry this mark does not indicate that it is not silver and you should look for one of the marks as shown below.

The marks above indicate that the item is silver and shows the percentage of silver in each item, i.e. 800 = 80%, 925 = 92.5%, 958 = 95.8% and 999 = 99.9%. Most UK silver tends to be Sterling Silver (925) whereas most 800 silver comes from Europe as a whole.

If the item is Sterling Silver it may carry one of the marks as shown above. Each of these indicate the item is, indeed, made from Sterling Silver but furthermore it indicates it’s point of origin.

Please note, silver plated items are different to silver items. Any pieces marked ‘EPNS’ and ‘Silver Plated’ are not solid silver, but only silver plated.

All precious metals are measured in TROY ounces. Unlike a IMPERIAL ounce, a Troy ounce contains 31.103 grams. An Imperial ounce contains only 28.35 grams

 Post to Us

Most people who sell to us prefer to post via Royal Mail Special delivery, which is a guaranteed, signed-for, insured delivery. Usually we will make payment the same day. For details of how to send to us see How to Post to Us

 Meet in Person

We understand not everyone has access to transport to come to us, or get to the Post office. If you have a sizeable collection we are happy to do a home visit to you. We also attend various Coin Fairs every month. If you prefer this way, please see How to Meet Us page.
