Probate Valuations

Coin Probate Valuations

It can be a very difficult time when a loved one passes. Sorting a deceased estate can be time consuming and complicated. We are happy to provide our services for any probate valuations you require. As members of the BNTA (British Numismatic Trade Association), we are qualified to provide accurate and realistic coin valuations to satisfy probate.

What Items Can We Value?

We specialise in a large range of items, here is a list of what we can help to value:

  • Coins
  • Medals
  • Banknotes
  • Any items of Gold (Including jewellery)
  • Any items of Silver (Including antiques)

How Do We Value Items?

There are two ways we can conduct a probate valuation:

  • Visit our shop in Alton, Hampshire – Was can arrange an appointment for you to bring the items that require a valuation to us. We will conduct the valuation there and then (Depending on the number of items involved), and produce a letter headed document for probate.
  • Send us a list – Sometimes we don’t need to see the items in order to provide a valuation, and happy to work from a provided list.

What is the Cost?

The cost depends upon the number of items that require a valuation. We charge as little as £50, but this can increase to £150 if it is a sizeable collection. The price also depends on how detailed the probate valuation needs to be. For example, the cost will be lower to produce a document with an overall value, compared to a document that details each item individually.

Selling to Us

We are always happy to purchase items once they have been through the probate process.
